The International Doctoral Program in Engineering aims to gather talented and motivated candidates from around the world, and cultivate experts with an international perspective and the ability contribute to the development of scientific techniques on a global level. The program aims to achieve this goal through pioneering research, education and teaching, and by fostering students' capabilities in a world-class environment for education and research.
Through this program, we aim to produce "total engineering" researchers who are able to combine their specialized top-level research expertise with broader knowledge spanning all fields of engineering. In coordination with other programs at the Graduate School of Engineering, we intend to establish a system to strategically train and support talented researchers to become international experts who combine the skills and research capability gained in both Japan and their countries of origin.
