The International School of Engineering seeks to ensure that students acquire basic engineering knowledge and develop the ability to understand and explain a broad range of issues, based on the principles and laws of basic sciences including physics and chemistry. The International School also strives to instill students with a brilliant intellect and strong sense of ethics, always focusing on efforts to cultivate engineers who can contribute to society's sustainable development. Moreover, the International School aims to develop human resources with a global perspective for the improvement of industrial and scientific technologies.
In this regard, the International Undergraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering invites the following applicants: Those who have a deep interest in the fields of mechanical engineering and other related subjects. The program invites applications from highly-motivated persons who seek to achieve excellence in these fields in a bid to contribute to their home countries and to establish themselves in a global society, and who strive to achieve their goals by systematically studying academic subjects that function as a cornerstone of Japan's technological development.
Those who have a strong sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to society's sustainable development from a global perspective, and who do their best to develop their global expertise.
Those who are highly motivated to improve their foreign language proficiency and to promote cross-cultural communication efforts to establish themselves in today's global society.
The International Undergraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering has the responsibility of providing undergraduate engineering education and research in cooperation with the associated Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has ten specialized fields of Strength of Materials, Fluids Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Combustion, Dynamics of Machinery, Control and Systems, Manufacturing Processes, Machine Design, Bioengineering, and Hydrogen Utilization Engineering.
